What a treat - Cajun/southern in the Loop
For years, this was a closely held secret. Imaging a diner in a professional building, complete with counter service, serving up excellent Cajun and Southern fare. The secret was let out when the Food Channel included them in one of their shows. Their Cajun food is hot - what you want and expect. Their Southern is what I like, though, be it chicken fried steak, po boys, or catfish sandwiches. Wash it down with Green Rivers, and save room for pecan or key lime pie. Make sure you eat here, the original location, rather than on Rush or in Wrigleyville.    [17 Aug 2005 15:22:26]
