Just Keep Driving..and Don't Look Back
Had the fajitas. The absolute WORST I have ever had. Marinated chicken was very tender but bland. They do not offer peppers with the fajitas. Just two large rings of onion that you have to cut up yourself. They charge extra for the cheese & sour cream. Absolutely tasteless and extremely overpriced. Came with some sort of bean soup that tasted like it came straight out of Campbell's soup can.    [15 Nov 2003 23:15:57]

My Favorite Mexican
Yuuuuum! I used to live within a long walk and now drive over an hour just to enjoy the Plato Gordo (sp?).

The Fajitas are my favorite ever. A cross between Mexican and American. Long strips of chicken or steak, individually grilled, with a pleasing smoky flavor.    [07 May 2004 15:33:15]

Delicious
Everything is made right there in the restaurant. The BEST tamales I've ever had. The Queso Flameado is absolutely fantastic. The chips and salsa are free flowing and wonderful. Most of the items have a mesquite flavor. The entrees can be pricey but definitely worth trying.    [09 May 2004 23:12:52]

That best!
This is absolutely the best commercial Mexican restaurant that I've ever had. It's almost as good as an authentic Mexican restaurant. The salsa and chips are to die for!    [19 Jul 2004 10:07:38]

Good Tex-Mex Cuisine
Been there several times, the service has always been excellent. The food is the closest I've found to real Tex-Mex since leaving Texas 17 years ago(that and the weather is all I miss). If you're interested in an EXCELLENT Margarita try the Julio's Gold! It is a bit on the pricey side, but the plates are big and FULL!! The chips are excellent although the salsa could use some spice for my taste.    [18 Nov 2004 18:06:18]

Spectacular
WOW! From the light and tasty chips and salsa, right down to the last bite of the HUGE combo platter this was a dinning experience to remember. Authentic, well presented, great tasting and modestly priced food.    [05 Apr 2005 18:02:48]

It's really not Mexican!
If you are looking for an authentic Mexican dish you will not find it at Uncle Julio's. They do serve big portions and their food is good, not the best Mexican food, but good. The Swirl (margarita & sangria) is the best and their cajeta ice cream is great!    [03 Aug 2005 15:16:06]
