Great Job Just recently had a surprise birthday party for my mother. Everything was done very professionally. We had two young waiters by the name of Alex and Chris and they could not have been more helpful. The food was great and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. Bon Apetit! Was very dissapointed My husband and I were looking for a nice restaurant to share Valentines Day at. We were told that this one was nice. As we entered, the vestabule was crowded, but that was to be expected. I went into the bar/lounge to get cocktails which took a while. (2 bartenders on) We were seated in the room off the lounge (overflow) and were given Steve for a waiter. We ordered ....(No help from Steve) an appetizer first. The oyster rock. were uncooked and we ended up sending them away (still were charged for them) The Prime Rib crusted with horseradish was a tasty treat however, the cut 1/4" was in our opinion way to small and fatty. I had the Beef Wellington which we belived to be the highlight of our dining experience. I asked for 1 more cocktail (no suggestive selling going on here) and was given the drink without a straw to stir. Since Steve was nowhere to be found, I asked the busboy to get me one. We decided that dessert wouldn't be due to the fact that we were there for the first seating and they needed to "turn " the table. I would not reccomend this place to anyone especially for a nice romantic evening! I'm am in the service business and was supprised at least at the poor service given there. [18 Feb 2004 09:07:37]

Restaurant in Decline The waitress's excuses for why she was running behind were numerous and meaningless. One was that the kitchen was turning out orders too fast. The silverware was dirty. The portions are small & the prices are high, especially for mediocre food. They also did not honor their coupon for the full value of the coupon. It was not worth fighting over the fact that the coupon was not honored for its full value, we just will not be eating at the prime minister again. Admittedly, our party had reached this conclusion even before the check arrived. [31 Oct 2005 19:05:39]

Nose diving quick! During the mid 80's...when Ditka and his Bears could be spotted here, the food and service were great. I have dined here 5 times over the last five years with each visit surpassing the last in terms of poor quality service and food. This place is one of those "has beens". [22 Sep 2006 16:55:15]

Overcharged and poor service We ordered the specials, and were instead brought the full size, full price steaks. We of course couldn't tell the difference until we were brought the check, which was nearly three times as high as what we were expecting. Both the waitress and manager were rude and refused to change the bill, because we "should have been able to tell the difference between an 8 oz steak and a 12 oz steak". Well, we couldn't. I feel that it's up to the waitress to bring you what you ordered in the first place. The waitress insisted that she had no way of knowing that we were ordering the special or the full size steak. But I think that when you go the effort of POINTING to what you are ordering on the menu, she should have some clue. Furthermore, if she didn't know, she should have asked us. Clearly, they were just trying to take advantage of a young couple that looked gullible. We won't be back, and will warn as many people as we can about this racket. [05 Nov 2006 15:15:41]

Great Food and Service. I've been going there since the early 80s and dined there at least 60 times and never once had a problem. [09 Dec 2007 00:12:01]
