Our favorite seafood restaurant We come here every year for our anniversary and are very pleasantly impressed each time. The food is wonderful, the service also. We salivate for their beaten biscuits. [05 Oct 2003 17:13:25]

Our New Favorite Seafood Restaurant... FANTASTIC!!! If you desire fabulous seafood, travel no further than Braxton Seafood Grill. My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day, and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. WE both enjoyed it immensely. Even though it was crowded, I felt that it was very intimate and quiet (especially with the amount of patrons present). They have live music (jazz - at least this night) near the bar area that adds to the atmosphere, however we had other commitments and didn't get to see the band play - only warm-up.
The waitress was extremely courteous and professional, and always came to our table at just the right time - not too often (which can really be obnoxious, especailly when celebrating a romantic occasion), and not too little. She even assisted me in a romantic stunt and she pulled it off wonderfully! I asked her if she would bring to the table a wrapped gift box containing a diamond pendant for my wife and act as if it was a complimentary gift for "all our special guests tonight." The 'bit' worked as planned - my wife just thought it was some fish pin (like the waitress was wearing) compliments of the restaurant, until she saw the diamond sparklies. The waitress was such a good sport, and I was so happy my plans were carried out as I had envisioned.
On to the food... FANTASTIC, DELECTABLE, and EXQUISITE. First off, the complimentary biscuits were delightful - very light with a pinch of sweetness. They are brought to your table as fresh and warm as can be - directly from the biscuit tray used in the oven to cook them. For an appetizer, we had the Calamari, carrots and jalepenos (all lightly battered) with two sauces, one a sweet and sour sauce and the other a creamy-type jalepeno sauce. The jalapeno sauce was really one-of-kind and tasy, tasty, tasty. I hinted to the waitress about wanting the recipe, but no luck! My wife also had a dinner salad which consisted of mixed greens (no iceburg lettuce here!), tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese and walnuts. For dinner, I had the Chilean Sea Bass with a wine sauce and my wife had the Almond Encrusted (very, very light) Tilapia with a raspberry sauce on the side. Both dishes were just simply incredible, but I was extremely partial to my sea bass. It was truly the best fish I have ever tasted - so, so succulent. I HIGHLY recommend it. Both dishes also came with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus - both cooked to perfection.
I cannot complain really about anything, other than we had 5:30 pm reservations and had to wait until almost 6 pm before being seated, however that's to be expected on such a busy holiday.
Actually, we were so caught up in the dining experience and ourselves, we forgot to use the coupon ($25 for $10 - great deal!) that I purchased from Restaurant.com! I realized it the next morning. Oh well, that's not a bad thing, as we'll just have to return, which we planned on anyway - we cannot wait! [16 Feb 2004 12:06:17]

Understated elegance Outstanding seafood in a relaxed but elegant and understated atmosphere. One of the few places you can have a dinner conversation without screaming to be heard. Wait staff is attentive, and the food is exceptional. What more can you ask? [21 Apr 2004 16:05:03]
