Petey's is a throwback to a time when restaurants were really restaurants. It is a place to go, when a night out means something special. It's a great place, with great food, made by a great cook, with great drinks, served by a great staff.    [23 Jan 2002 19:55:42]

Peteys is definitely not the place
I would not recommend Petey's. I had made reservations for a party of 10. The waitress was not very patient taking our orders. She had spilled grease on one guest. At the end of the meal, the bill was presented immediately. Once the bill was paid, we were asked to leave. I told her we were not ready, she told us to go to the bar. Embarrassed by this situation, I contacted the owner whose only response was sorry and hung up on me.    [10 Apr 2005 19:49:44]

Old fashioned fun..
I enjoy eating at Petey's - the food is excellent... and I really like the relishes they give you in the beginning of the meal. If you leave here hungry it is your own fault, because they offer quite a bit of food. I've always had great service, it is just a little cramped because it is an actual bungalow turned restaurant.    [09 Aug 2006 10:13:58]

Petey's is the best on the South Side
It is a smaller restaurant, so if you're looking for space it is not the place to be. If you're looking for excellent food at a good price with good service then it's the place to go. I would recommend their pork chops or any of their fish. Petey's cheeseburgers are the best, guaranteed!!

It is the BEST !
The staff is wonderful, the food, fantastic, and the bartender really knows how to make a drink. I could sit there for hours what with all of the food they serve with your order. I've always had to take the leftovers home with me.    [12 Aug 2007 21:20:18]
