Great Fried Chicken!!
Great fried chicken! Did I say great fried chicken? The main restaurant in the Lemont/Romeoville area has great ambience, including a silver studded saddle ala the great old western movies and authentic Currier and Ives engravings, but the takeout store in Riverside serves the same great chicken. The mashed potatoes, cole slaw and biscuits are good; the gravy is yellow chicken-flavored gravy that to my palate is a bit strange. But it tastes ok. The chicken is the tenderest I've had and the most flavorful, due to their secret process.    [11 Oct 2004 09:34:30]

Only GOOD not GREAT!
White Fence Farm wants to come off as "home cooking". It is a far cry from it. Their signature chicken is good but not anything to get excited about. Mashed potatos are NOT home made they are instant, the gravy canned. The best thing is the corn fritters. The price is steep for what you are getting.    [19 Aug 2006 20:10:38]
