Russell's OK -- if OK is what you want
Russell's in Rolling Meadows is like a Barnaby's without pizza. The food is rated C+ and is only tasty by adding sauce. It's competition in the area is Cajun Kitchen (a Lettuce site) and Hickory Roasters.

Service at Russell's and Cajun Kitchen is "assembly line" with little eye contact with customers. Of the 3 mentioned, Hickory Roasters has the best food - particularly the BBQ items with cole slaw on top.

Russell's does offer free meeting rooms to small groups, won't offend you, but won't stick in your memory -- unless you've spilled some sauce!    [05 Aug 2002 10:00:01]

Russell's is great!
Russell's is a great casual restaurant and has WONDERFUL beef sandwiches! I highly recommend this dining experience to anyone who enjoys barbeque! Their sauce is DELICIOUS... once you taste it you'll keep coming back for more!!! My family has been going to Russell's for years and we can't get enough of it!!! Even though Russell's is a good distance from our home, when we have a craving, it is definitely worth the drive! The food is tasty AND reasonable!
