Not much lunch for $15.00
Average corned beef on bland dwarf rye, served with a bite-and-a-half of cole slaw; a supposedly "large" bowl of lentil soup (at least the soup was good); a small Diet Sprite: $12.69 plus tip. Hostess was grudgingly helpful when I asked for a Sun-Times; despite the presence of one next to the hostess stand, she informed me, "there might be one next door but I can't promise anything." Next door is a Starbucks. Should have stuck to coffee.    [27 May 2003 17:44:28]
