Description

Home cooking with a southern flair. Known for large portions and family atmosphere. Daily specials include: meat loaf, jambalaya, pot roast, rib tips, walleye, catfish, fried chicken, pork chop sandwiches, chicken noodle, beef stew, gumbo, and chicken and rib dinners.

Side orders like greens and corn bread, fried okra, black-eye peas, and yams.

Desserts include sweet potato pie, buttermilk pie, banana pudding, peach cobbler, and pound cake.

And of course there is the fried "snoot" sandwich (pig's snout).

Customers make choices by looking over a steam table loaded with specials and side orders. Samples are offered to those having trouble making up their mind

They got Soul down!
One of the best soul food restaurants around.. sweet potatoes and green are out of this world and their chicken is the finest! A must eat.. comfortable atmosphere.. right at home.. very generous portions and great southern charm! Love it there!    [19 Jan 2007 11:58:42]
