Great Place for Lunch The owner is an auto racing nut, so the decor and the menu are loaded with racing references. The food is first-rate. The wild assortment of baked potato offerings is a wonder to behold, but you'd better get there early in the lunch hour before they run out of spuds. It's easily the best baked potato dish in town. They're often short on server help, so don't be in a big hurry. Just take your time and enjoy a great lunch. [28 Nov 2003 17:29:49]

The Best Sandwiches and Salads Ever! The most unique sandwiches and salads I have ever seen on a menu in Indiana. The food is fresh, homemade, and not the same old food. The owner is also from New Jersey and created a lot of sandwiches from the East Coast. They have at least 6 different Cheese Steaks and I have never had a bad one yet. The place is very clean and smoke free. The baked potatoes are huge and definitely not from the fast food drive thru. I swear the spud I ate was at least 2 1/2 pounds. [27 Mar 2006 20:50:14]

Definitely Good Eats Okay, The Food Network Channel has to make a stop at the Chequered Flag Cafe! Want something different and homemade check out the Chequered Flag Cafe. Everything is fresh, delicious and there is such a variety: Salads, soups, pizza for the kids, the best fries I have had ever, sandwiches, spuds. The portions are plentiful, too. The Egg Salad is just the right amount of everything - not over powered by unusual ingredients that I have experienced before. This place is one of Indiana's best kept secrets! I have friends that make a nearly 45 minute trip from the southwest side of Indy to enjoy these GOOD EATS!!!! [28 May 2008 10:30:34]
