Greek Cusine at it's finest
Well gang, If your from Evansville and you are reading this, then you are well versed in new restaurants and the genre. This is really the only Greek restaurant in Evansville, and I must say that they went out on a limb, to invest 3 million dollars into the old Darryls place. Me, I really loved Darryls it was unique, but things change and I can get over it, especially when there is a great Mediterranean menu like this.
The money is well spent, If this town has any culture at all it will be filling up Acropolis every night.
The menu is different and more exiting than from the old location. After all they did spend 2 million dollars, I take it the new menu and choices and a new kitchen was involved with that.
I highly recommend Acropolis great service great food , great greek food, with a touch of California decor.
Being from L.A., I don't know if Evansville is ready for this expirience, But I hope that they can appriciate the work and beauty that went into the wonderful Acropolis.
It truly is a work of art, and the food, well, taste and presentation has improved 10 fold from the old location.

The Best Rest. In Evansville
This is the best restaurant in Evansville... and the best Greek REst. I have been to yet in my travels. Their spices and how they incorporate them are perfect. The prices are great and the atmosphere at the new location is excellant!!!    [15 Dec 2003 14:22:37]

Excellent
They took an old, dark restaurant and converted it into one of the most beautiful restaurants in Evansville. The food is fantastic, the service is very good, and their house special feast is excellent. You can choose a price point, and they will bring you a selection of food.
