While the food is good it is still after all breakfast. My husband and I and 4 children ages 4,9,10,12 went to breakfast. Nothing spectacular, eggs, 2 omlets, 2 german pancakes. We were shocked to find out that there was a automatic gratuity of 18% added to our bill! We are good tippers but adding 18% automatically is beyond ridiculous. Our breakfast bill was $79.00! Great day when they came to Indy!
We loved the Original Pancake House when we lived in Chicago. It was a VERY happy day when they opened in Indy. Each order prepared fresh - which means sometimes a 10 - 15 minute wait - but it is worth it. Nothing to compare it to in regards to quality and specialty. Most everything is great: apple pancake, omelets (spinach with feta cheese, onion and bacon!!!), almond French toast, Eggs Benedict, etc are all great!    [18 Dec 2004 16:32:18]
