Not the best prime rib I've had, but one of the nicest dining experiences anywhere. And did I mention the shrimp cocktail? [01 Dec 1999 17:16:31]

Bring the Bucks (and you better know someone) Known for their Shrimp Cocktail (outstanding spicy sauce- fresh horseradish). Better ask what market price is on the lobster tail so there aren't surprises at check time. 2 shrimp cocktails and two surf-n-turfs for $225. Ambiance is like a stiff old hunting lodge. Ruth's Chris up the street has better food and atmosphere for the same price. Go to St. Elmos for cocktails and appetizer shrimp. The hostess station could care less about you unless you know someone. [13 Nov 2000 21:06:55]

one of the greatest experiences of my life... Growing up in a restaurant and the restaurant being known for its prime rib, trust me I know prime rib. This was the best prime rib that I have had in quite some time. This occasion took place in June 2001 and now I'm heading back to Indianapolis on business on June 27,2003 and a 1000 WWWF Wrestlers will not be able to contain me from going back for seconds. Outstanding Service and Well Aged Beef Every time I have been to St. Elmo I have been treated with excellent service from every member of the staff I've come in contact with. The beef is perfectly aged and seasoned with only salt and pepper, not tainted with other seasonings. The wine list is extensive.
It's pricey, but well worth it if you're looking to splurge on yourself or others. [29 Jan 2007 17:09:56]
