I should have known when driving in the pothole-covered parking lot that it wouldn't be such a good idea to order food from Moby Dick. I used their drive-thru. When I got to work, I ate the fish sandwich, which didn't really have much of a flavor. I was very unhappy with the quality in preparation of the food. I quickly lost my appetite and threw away the rest of the fries. Such a waste of money! I spent $4.89 on a meal which included a fish sandwich, fries and a drink. With tax, this price came to a total of $5.18. The food is not worth it and by the time I had to throw out the fries it made the high price even worse! I will NEVER eat here again. By the looks of the building and parking lot I was pretty stupid for even thinking I'd get a decent lunch. [08 Mar 2004 12:14:36]

trash can While waiting 15 minutes in the drive through for my food, I watched the fry cook repeated touch food with her bare hands and then wipe her hands on her pants. Finally she touched a trash can with her bare hands and went back to cooking. I promptly asked for my money back and left. [21 Dec 2006 22:13:00]

Moby Dick is a delight. Try the fish sandwich with a side of fried okra or mushrooms.
The price is more than competitive with national fast food places that use low quality ingredients and insist on overwhelming flavor with batter.
If I weren't sitting in the middle of Austin Texas I'd be on my way to get a sandwich there right now. [28 Jan 2007 11:26:09]

Waste of Money I went to the Moby Dick in Jeffersonville, I try to stay away from there because I know they're quit a bit higher than LJS, which I don't much care for (the greasy batter fish). If I were gonna spend that kind of money, I'd just go to Kingfish. They taste a lot better and you get more for the price. Well I went there because of the drive thru, as I had my grandbaby with me and didn't wanna drag her inside any place today. I wanted fish and shrimp. If I get that combo, I only get 1 fish and 4 shrimp, I asked how much 1 piece of fish would be. I just gagged when she told me they'd have to charge me $4.00 for one piece as it's the price of a sandwich. So I said forget it, and ordered the fish and shrimp. I figured when I got it home i'd at least get a decent size piece of fish, WRONG! The piece was just enough to cover a slice of bread and this combo was only with fries and a hush puppy for $6.51. Never again will I do that, I'll go ahead and drag the baby inside Kingfish next time before I'd go to a Moby Dick again. TOTAL RIPOFFS!!! [16 Feb 2007 17:50:29]
