Great Food It has been remodeled. Everything seems to stay under control with no fights. Good fun on Sundays for their open mike singing. The Sunday brunch was really good. The new run restaurant which just opened in November is doing great. The variety of food is good choices. If you have a problem with something talk to Terry and it will be handled. Speak up while you are there and make things better instead of complaining. [01 Dec 2006 19:32:12]

HOLE IN THE WALL This place used to be a good restaurant to get a great meal at. It's on the Kankakee River and a few years ago - although needing remodeling - was still a good place to quietly relax and enjoy good food. Now it's been remodeled, under new ownership and is nothing more than a smoke filled bar that serves sandwiches. What a disaster! Not recommended!!!!! [03 Mar 2006 12:55:24]

Same Ole' Menu was not worth really looking at. Just simple stuff, fried mostly, no real meals of specials. The place used to have good food some years ago, but not you can get what they have any place. Loud customers and bad language. Bartenders were fine, courteous and attentive. All in all, I should have stayed home. [04 Oct 2006 16:38:08]

2006 That review had to be when Tom had it. We went there last week the place has realy changed it is real clean they have a family room that is very nice and the food was very good all you can eat fish on Friday nights.Ther menu as all kinds of meat steaks, prime rib, pork chops and more. The cook they now does a real good job. I will go back to eat there and I will tell every one how good it is. [23 Nov 2006 14:17:50]

Best place to eat in northwest indiana The Baums Bridge Inn in Kouts is a great place to eat. The food is great. They offer steaks, seafood, pastas, sandwichs and specials. Fridays is all you can eat fish fry, Saturdays is prime rib and Sundays is a brunch buffet from 11 to 3. The waitresses are friendly, service is good and the food is good. [24 Nov 2006 12:20:18]

Very good food! I live just down the road and had heard good and bad about this place, but every time we have eaten there its been great. The fish is good, but the chicken and pasta dishes are even better. [19 Mar 2007 21:32:08]

A local!
Great Fish ! My husband and I like a place that we can afford to eat great food at a reasonable price with a nice laid back atmosphere. Baum's is the place ! Our walleye and perch has always come to the table still crackling from cooking and the baked potato is REALLY baked ! Great service, and we have never had to wait for anything from the wait servers!!! Going for Mothers Day since I got to choose ! [12 May 2007 18:20:22]
