Best Cajun Food Outside Louisiana For a starter my wife had the gumbo and I had the garlic soup. Both were perfect in their presentation and taste. We both had the catfish with shimp sauce, which came with a side of jambalaya. It was the best catfish we've eaten outside Louisiana. The jambalaya was as good as it can be. Our dessert was the banana bread pudding, which was also excellent. The service was first class in every way. Portions were average, allowing us to sample all 3 courses without concern. Great place! I was quite suprised that a place like Zydeco's existed in Mooresville. From the moment you walk in, your reminded of New Orleans and Mardi Gras. A quaint place that has, by my estimation, about 10-12 tables for people to sit at. Although I didn't walk around, I did see an Oyster Bar as well as a small area to buy food specfic to New Orleans. Service was outstanding, menu was great. The prices were a little more than I expected, but worth every penny. [17 Oct 2004 00:16:52]

A Tremendous Treat After living in New Orleans for three years and missing the Cajun food and atmosphere, I have found them both in Mooresville, Indiana. The food brought back all the memories of lunches and dinners in the Viex Carre. The staff new their menu, the owners were wonderful to meet and the food was as good as it gets. If you are looking for Cajun, go to Zydeco's. [21 Feb 2006 16:31:48]

Who Needs Nawlins? One of central Indiana's hidden gems. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. Well worth the short jaunt down to Mooresville rather than the long trek to Nawlins for some cajun food and zydeco atmosphere. [16 Mar 2007 14:14:06]
