Food at El Salto worth every cent - Post-Tribune, BY BOB FORSTER, 12 January 2007; El Salto, El Salto, El Salto! No, I'm not stuttering, I'm just letting you know there are now three El Salto locations in Northwest Indiana. The newest is at Ridge Road and Calumet Avenue, in the old Munster town hall. There is multilevel seating for more than 120 people, but the three distinct dining areas are different, cozy and comfortable. We sat in the main dining room, in a carved, dark wooden, upholstered booth overlooking the Calumet Avenue evening traffic through tall windows. The entire restaurant is decorated with Mexican and Aztec art, murals and pictures. The decorated ceiling and walls were easy on the eyes. The small bar area seats about 20 in an inviting, friendly atmosphere. We don't promote drinking, but for informational purposes, there is a daily drink special to go along with the daily food special. - suggest change
