Best Ribs Ever!!

Not The Worst Ribs... But Certainly Not The Best
Since Wagner's is one of the few steak, ribs and drinking places in the Porter area where locals can gather and everyone knows your name, it has a reputation and its barbecue sauce is hyped throughout Porter and Chesterton. That being said, it is overpriced and offers only average service. The dining area is one of comfort, but nothing to talk about at parties or family gatherings. Up the road a piece is a another place that offers a better bargain for ribs and bbq that meets the same standards.    [30 Jun 2006 19:33:37]

Best Ribs EVER!!!
These are the best ribs I have ever had. I have brought out of town friends and family to Wagner's. None of them like ribs, but they have all driven out of the way from Indianapolis and South Bend just to pick up ribs from Wagner's. My mom likes to pick up the ribs on the way home to Indianapolis. The restaraunt is a bar, so it unfortunately is not kid friendly, but carry out works.    [03 Sep 2006 13:35:52]

Great Ribs, Bad Establishment.
I grew up eating wagners ribs as a child, my grandmother used to take me to the resturaunt in Laporte. Now years later i travel to the only remaining wagners joint in porter only to be turned away for having a minor in our party (my 2 year old daughter). I have always loved the ribs and the sauce, but Wagners is no longer a family resturaunt.    [22 Sep 2006 23:33:55]
