Acerbic Wait Staff Awaits
The food at Bon Femme, while not breath-taking, is edible which is more than one can say for much of what is served in North West Indiana. Unfortunately, Bon Femme's staff is under-trained, or else is trained to ruin the dining experience. Most up-scale restaurants train their staffs to be polite, informative, helpful, and unobtrusive. At Bon Femme, the diner may encounter wait staff more in keeping with a jenny who will inform the diner that the wine under consideration is "cheap and crappy" and that for $2 more per glass or $30 for a bottle, the diner can enjoy real vintners' pride. To bad that a waitress can really blemish an otherwise god dining experience by creating an urge to flee the establishment.    [06 Nov 2007 10:08:25]

Hands down the best restaurant in NW Ind. Don't let the word cafe misslead you. The menu is 4 pages. We felt welcomed even before we were greeted. Seafood is a must try.    [30 Jul 2008 11:19:33]
