Great Time I dined at Bristol Bar and Grill about 6 months ago and it has outstanding service and great food. My husband and I started with the crabcakes, which were the best I've ever had. Then moved on to the special sea bass, recommended to us by our great waitress. We finished off with the chocolate cake that was incredible.
I was a great dining experience. The food was superb and I wish every waitress was as good as Tracy, our waitress at Bristol. Thank you! [08 Feb 2001 07:51:47]

Superb Big-City Dining A friend and I recently dined at the Bristol while I was in town visiting, and it was an all-around excellent experience!
Our waiter was very helpful and well-informed about the items on the menu, and the bar staff was very accommodating (making Sangria when not even on the wine list...).
We started with the scallop appetizer - the largest, most tender scallops in a tangy, Asian-inspired vinaigrette; (my mouth is watering at the memory!). My host had the filet and shrimp, while I chose the filet and lobster - Kansas City has a reputation for its great steaks, and the Bristol made the combination of excellent, tender prime beef and unusually fresh seafood a great dining combination.
The waitstaff is extremely professional and move about you in a way that makes them almost invisible, so as not to interrupt your dining experience - classic. From the moment we were brought our initial drinks, those wonderful shortbread-like rolls to the time they asked if we would like dessert (with entrees as wonderful as we were served, I don't know how anyone would have room!), it was flawless.
It joined my "favorite restaurant" list and I am sure to return on my frequent visits to the KC area. *fresh flowers in the ladies (and men's) rooms add that touch to let you know you are in a place where details aren't overlooked..* [19 Aug 2002 10:06:29]

Calamari sauce We have eaten at the Bristol many times, starting when it was located on the Plaza. Everything is always good, but one of our favorite things is the wonderful sauce that comes with the calamari. [16 Feb 2003 14:07:30]
