The Spartan--A Very Unexpected Surprise!
If you are looking for a small, casual, eclectic dining experience, The Spartan is for you. Hidden in the Old Mill building at 301 N. Main in Newton, KS you'll find a small but quality wine list, fabulous food, and wonderful service! Ravioli is the specialty and they offer a different type daily. Last night it was salmon and absolutely to die for. The Tapas menu offers a variety of small dishes, perfect as an appetizer or combined for the main meal. The pork and mushroom potstickers are absolutely outstanding. Reservations are not required but they do appreciate them since it is rather small and they like to know what to expect. You will feel comfortable in jeans or evening wear.
