Eatting In Our Hometown
Yesterday my family and I ate at Western Sizzlin, in Winfield Ks. This is our hometown. Instead of traveling to Wichita to eat at a Steak House we stayed in town. This was the worst decision I every made. It was about 1:30, after the lunch crowd. The place had maybe 10 people in it at the most. We placed our order. Thought we had made good decisions. We went to sit at a table. We are a family of 5. We needed a large table not a booth. There were a lot of large tables. But there were none clean. So we had to sit in a booth and cram together. The tables were not even wiped clean. We fixed our salads and crammed ourselves back into the booth. Then when our meals came the waitress asked if there was anything else we needed. Of course my husbands reply was the rest of my meal. We had ordered sirloin tips. At the most there were 5 to 6 pieces of meat with onions, we didn't want the peppers. The meat was overcooked and so tough you had to chew for several minutes to be able to swallow. When we were asked again if we needed anything our glasses were empty and our table was full of plates. Our service was worse than the food. We did not leave a tip!!! We left plenty of food on our plates. We will never again enjoy eating in our home town. To me this is very sad. But we will spend our time and money eating in Wichita or surrounding area. For what it cost we could of had a lot better meal. Sadly disappointed    [02 Jan 2004 12:57:56]
