I would guess the patron who was negative about Suggin's prefers waiting for a table for 2 hours at an overpriced chain, something of a lexington tradition.

Suggins is a dying breed -- a relaxing, comfortable place with good, affordable food. the menu is a bit limited, but the catfish is the best for the money in town.

a great local hangout
Suggins is everything that Lexington is not -- comfortable, friendly, and NOT A CHAIN. Idiotic places like Malone's (wildly overpriced and mediocre at best) and chains such as ANYTHING on Nicholasville Road or at Hamburg, pale by comparison.    [24 Jun 2005 19:58:27]

Every town should have a place like this

Always appealing
Suggins is my favorite place ever.. it's convenient and the waitresses know you by name and always welcome you. The food is pretty amazing as well; I can always find something on the menu to satisfy my cravings. I'm getting ready to go there now actually!    [03 Jan 2008 16:31:40]
