Indian Restaurant - Banana Leaf I tried Dosa with Egg Plant and Cashews. Excellent. Another time, tried Cocktail Uttappam and Sambar Vada. Lunch Buffet very homely, tasty, healthy and hygienic. [01 Jan 2007 18:00:25]

Banana Leaf has the most authentic South Indian food in Lexington. At least once a month I go there to get my favorite Dosa, sweet and sour chicken. Banana Leaf has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and a diverse group of customers. [08 Jan 2007 18:53:36]

Good Food But No Service This is really a good south Indian place like a hole in the wall and can be easily missed on a one way street and one has to go in circles to find a parking. Initially when they started the food they served was south indian only and was very good though service was very bad so every body tolrated, but ever since they started the north indian and malysian food, not only the food but the service has gone worse. It has happened to me 3 times. Food ordered comes about in 30 minute and then we have to ask for water silverware and some times we have to get up ourselves and find plates and silverware. It was on saturdy afternoon my family went there and were seated aginst the wall with no water and the older gentleman (probably Father) could not understand anything. We asked for spoons and forks and he brought us the plates and i hvae to literally get up and point to the silverware. I can understand the concept of mom and pop's place but people demand service also so please hire few students. [03 Jun 2008 11:48:45]
