Bourbon n' Toulouse is a great place to go. The food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is even better; right in the heart of Chevy Chase. If you're in Lexington, do not miss this place. [02 May 2005 21:14:20]

Bourbon N' Toulouse Rocks! Bourbon N' Toulouse is by far the best Cajun joint in Lexington. The food is awesome (not to mention very affordable), and the atmosphere is unique. If you are a fan of food with a little kick and a lot of flavor, check this place out. [06 Jun 2005 15:48:29]

Not Yats It was ok. I was a big fan of the chef's mentor, but the 2 dishes I bought did not live up to my memories of Yats. Yet another protege's establishment across town does. I will not be so tacky as to plug one place in my review of this one so if you wonder of what I speak, keep looking. [30 Jun 2005 20:47:07]

Doesn't need to be Yats I also am a big fan of the chef's protege as the above reviewer states. I've also been a huge fan of Yats since it opened years ago and was hugely disappointed that it left, but was equally happy when it returned with a different owner/chef -- actually it is now called Gumbo Ya Ya's. Anyway, they're both fantastic... don't think I could say one is better than the other. Readers who are interested should visit both and see what I mean. Restaurant is highly recommended. Its not Yats, but every bit as good! I don't know who the person is who rated the other cajun place better than Bourbon N' Toulouse, but nothing could be further from the truth. One word comes to mind when I think of the other place (no need to mention the name of it) -- HACK! Bourbon N' Toulouse's food rocks, with a twist on Yats food. In a lot of ways, it may be better. The person who is making the food at B-'n'-T's has far more expericence with the Yats food than just about anyone else, and has added his own personal touch. Try both places, and I am sure you would agree. [22 Oct 2005 12:08:36]

True facts on cajun joints Both cajun places are great! Not sure what furious d was talking about when stating the person who cooks at B&T has more experience than the cook at Ya Ya's because the owner/cook for Ya Ya's was co-owner of Yats & worked for over 10 years learning the trade from Joe Vuskovich who started the 1st cajun fast food place in Lexington. Both of these cooks were taught by Joe V & I would not give the upper-hand to either one of them except to say Ya Ya's does have a bigger selection of sauces to choose from and they have two different locations. Near perfect lunch spot Been going to B&T for a while now and absolutely love it. I've never had a bad dish although once I got a crabfish dish that had too much meat in it, weird huh? My boss and I eat there at least once a week and never get tired of it. possible downfalls are parking and crowded. [20 Feb 2006 00:05:07]
