Speedy!
The girl on the phone always says it'll be a half hour, but our food generally arrives at the doorstep in about 20 minutes. Phone ordering is fast and efficient, and the drivers arrive with neatly packed bags offered with a smile and a thank you.
China King offers typical chinese takeout menu items at a reasonable price. The combo platters come with pork fried rice and an eggroll. There's enough in the combo platter to feed two! At an average price of $6 for any of the platters, it's a great deal. If you want a combo platter that they don't offer, they'll make it for you.
We've gradually been eating our way through their menu and most everything has been tasty. I was a little disapointed with their curry dishes--they're not as spicy and flavorful as one expects curry to be. The fried wonton is a little on the greasy side. Other than these two things, all of the entrees have been great.
Most Chinese take-out places I've tried treat the condiments (those little packets of soy sauce, duck sauce and mustard) like they are gold--grudgingly offering up one...maybe two packets if you're nice. China King gives you handsful of the stuff! You'll have plenty for your dipping and saucing pleasure.
So if you live in the Cardinal Valley area and you get a hankering for Chinese, call them up and you'll be enjoying your Happy Family and Hawaii Five-O in less than half an hour. [12 Oct 2004 01:48:32]
