Description
Dudley's menu is comprised of a wide variety of seasonally fresh foods. These are prepared with an eye for health and reflect the flavors of our region where owner Debbie Long heightened her culinary expertise.
Renovation on what is now Dudley Square started in 1979 followed by Dudley's Restaurant opening in 1981, by converting two of the original classrooms into a dining room and bar. Cocktail atmosphere is set by a 100-year-old antique bar.
In 1983, an outdoor patio was added which further enhanced the ambiance and popularity of the restaurant. Patrons are surrounded by local artists' work in the dining room or by poplar trees as old as the school itself, which flank the patio. To accommodate larger parties and special occasions the Wine Room was added in 1995.

Nothing To Write Home About Dudley's has a great outdoor patio and a nice indoor dining facility. I found the menu to be a bit unfocused and all over the place with no particular direction. They offer everything from basic American dishes to strangely put together "Asian" dishes, such as Tuna with miso cous cous. Not at all a good pairing. I also tried a special, grouper with risotto. I was reluctant to try it as I think fish and rice should never be paired together, but didn't see anything else on the menu I found all that interesting. The risotto, which usually dictates the cooks skill was much to firm and not creamy and loose as a risotto should be. Also appetizer as well as entre was severly over salted. Service was mediocre, with the waiter frequently asking if he could clear plate even though I was not finished. [07 Jun 2008 20:19:04]
