Italian chain, good standard Italian dishes, very reasonably priced. [15 Jul 2003 09:49:01]

I ate the manicotti and it was an excellent choice. The food is great as is the service. It's prices are about the same as other Italian restaurants. I would highly recommend that you try their food. [20 Sep 2004 18:03:12]

Heaven in Italian form Johnny Carino's is now one of my favorite places to eat. I have tried most things on the menu, and so far all have been either excellent or very good. The Italian Sangria is their own blend, and very different from a bottled or Spanish sangria. The portions are so large that you will be taking some leftovers home, and each table is brought hot bread straight from the oven to dip in garlic and seasoned olive oil. My particular favorites are the Jalapeno Garlic Tilapia and the Spicy Romano Chicken (bow tie pasta in slightly spicy Romano cheese sauce, with artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes). At the end of the meal, you have to have dessert, even if you are so full you eat two bites and take it home! The Chocolate cake has several layers of different chocolate, served warm with nuts and ice cream, the Lemon Delight is a delight, and the Tiramisu is so light and fluffy, you'll end up with an empty plate! Overall, this is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at (beaten only by Maggiano's in Chicago) [22 Nov 2004 11:47:14]

How disappointing was this place? Let me tell you. Once we entered the bright lights and noisy dining area, we wanted to run. We sat less than ten feet from the open kitchen which was like being in the house with a mad cook. Pots clanging and flames flaring.
The bread was brought to us in a paper bag, terribly hot with no cutting board or knife to pierce the brick-hot surface. Once we had ripped apart the bread while braving blisters and cuts, it had the consistency of a communion wafer.
We were only given one napkin of utensils, although I asked three times for another set. Upon the arrival of our food, it was brought to me, finally.
I had a salad with terribly marinated artichoke hearts and rancid shrimp. My fiance had chicken parmigiana which was bland. A frozen dinner would have provided more pleasure.
Again, another mediocre, Hamburg Place, corporate-owned, restaurant deceiving the palates of the suburban inhabitant.

wow wow wow wow wow My family and I love to eat out as one of our favorite activities. Therefore, we have been to many different places. I am still in awe at how good the food is at this establishment. Yes, the food is served in a paper bag how unique and interesting I thought. The outer was firm and the inner was soft, moist, and light. There were also 2 for 1 drinks all day every day which saved at least 5 dollars a mixed drink. we ordered the Italian nachos-awesome choice. Both entrees were equally as delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone even if Italian isn't your favorite ethnic choice of food. If you like cheese and spices you'll be in love. It's my new favorite place to eat. Thank you Johnny Carinos! [28 Jun 2005 18:01:25]

Lousy Service & Cold Food Waiter doubled as the bartender, soup and main entree were both cold, complained to no avail. American Express is refunding the price of the dinner. [14 Mar 2006 12:47:37]

Bartender was alone on a Friday night. Also, ordered a cosmo and she said okay but then after about 20 minutes said she did not know how to make one. !Duh!
