OK Food But Lousy Service The food is OK but make sure to go on a busy day or they serve old food. It's hard to spot spoiled food due to all the strong spices.
Don't expect good service here. Its common for the owners to start vacuuming the floor while you eat. [03 May 2003 23:23:40]

Food is not too bad but not exactly plentiful. Seems as though they use lunch buffet left-overs in evenings. Unfriendly waiting staff. Lavatories are disgraceful but not untypical of Indian restaurants.
Decoration is fading and tired. [26 Jul 2003 12:15:16]

Kashmir Is the Best Kashmir is the best Indian restaurant in perspective of food & service , I have been eating there since 1996 when I was med student & I am still eating there. This restaurant serve exotic Indian fares with reasonable price in comparison to other Indian restaurants in Lexington, it seems like my friends above mentioned comments are more oriented and driven towards arrogant & ignorant , the recent review gave Kashmir the best Indian restaurant in Lexington and will remain on zenith. Avoid -- A Shame to Indian Food and Hospitality I am Indian, and I've been to Kashmir twice. This is not real Indian food, and don't make your opinion on Indian food based on this restaurant. The atmosphere is really depressing and food is not cooked (it is raw). The food they serve seems like the leftovers from what they ate at home. If you go alone and even if all the trays were empty, they would not refill it. Hospitality wise they are very hostile. Very bad food, Very little food, and hostile hosts. Stay away. WHAT??? I LOVE Kashmir Have been going to this restaurant since '96 while attending undergrad at UK. I live about 45 minutes from Lex, but try to eat there every couple of months. Love the menu and food. Try the cheese nan and mushroom chicken. I have never been disappointed. However, I do not eat the buffet, not enough choices for me, but know many who love it. veyr bad restaurant very unfriendly staff. especialy when theY serve water. they almost throw iT from a distance. it falls all oveR the table. as u enter, they ask "how many?" and just say sit anywhere!!! why the hell ask then? tood is raw old spoilt and tasteless. only thing it has survived is because of its location. being close to campus is the only plus point. conclusion.. STAY AWAY [04 May 2006 13:17:35]
