Excellent Food
I have eaten most things at Brunet's. The food is excellent!!! The bread pudding is to die for!    [17 May 2002 09:19:08]

Tremendous!!
I've frequented Brunet's every chance I got for years now. Living in the area only makes it that much sweeter. The food is out of this world. The atmosphere is superb for getting that one of a kind Louisiana experience. Let's not forget the friendliness of the staff and owners.

I lived in Idaho for a number of years before moving back to Louisiana. The one thing missed the most was Brunet's food. You just can't find it anywhere else!    [11 Feb 2003 17:57:47]

Good Food, Bad management
I have always enjoyed eating at Brunet's - the food is great, service is good, and the music is definately entertaining. I have always chosen a particular plate and substituted one item in place of another - that was put to a halt and I was charged extra to make the change, all because of management. I would still suggest someone to eat at Brunet's if they weren't accustomed to Louisiana Cajun Food - but I'll now stray away from Brunet's.    [02 Mar 2003 02:51:00]

Best Louisiana Experience
My first experience at Brunet's left me wanting to try the entire menu, I'm still working on it. The food is excellent and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. This will always be my first and last stop when in the Baton Rouge area.    [21 Apr 2004 06:26:50]

Agree with Bad Mangament
I had been to the restaurant before, and knew that I liked the food, but one time the Manager came to my table and said that they could not allow substitutions. Totally didn't matter what I wanted. So we left, and will not go back.    [19 Feb 2005 12:19:21]

Not completely Impressed
Over the years, I've eaten at Brunet's several times. I have never been impressed, and usually a mite disappointed. The food that I had was mediocre, on average, and portions were small. Service was average. The decor is a very country/flea market attempt at cajun. I do admit that some of my friends swear that the food is excellent. Maybe I did not eat the right things....    [20 Feb 2005 08:31:55]

Should be ashamed
Be sure not to ever get take out. Salad literally had slimey pieces of lettuce; most pieces brown. Two slices of bread, not buttered or toasted. The absolute best thing they have to offer is bread pudding, because of the light texture and coconut flavored sauce, but we got two hard crusts and NO sauce! Guess they thought since it was take-out they could get away this this despicable treatment. Won't go again.    [02 Sep 2005 16:48:50]

Help
Anyone have the recipe for their crawfish bread? I live in Cali, but I hear from my family in Baton Rouge that Brunet's has the best! Write me at heartwing37 @ yahoo.com if you have the recipe or one like it. Thank you!
