Only Chinese in Old Metaire
This is the great "hole in" the wall on Metairie Road. Clustered amongst several retail stores including a bar (Oscars) and Vega Tapas (owned by Glenn Hogue), The Great Wall has been serving strong Mai-Tai's and spicy Schezuan for about 30 years. Don't expect much, but the price is right and portions are commensurate. Be specific when ordering and don't be embarrassed to confirm your requests - nuff said! The restaurant is often seen catering to younger couples and established families, but large parties have always been my favorite way to dine at the Great Wall.    [27 Mar 2007 19:40:48]
