Darn Good Chinese Food! Every neighborhood needs a good Chinese restaurant, and Shanghai Village is a major upgrade to some of my old spots over in Somerville. The place is very clean, and it feels like a really nice restaurant, as compared to most other Chinese places, where the tables seem like an after thought for people who don't want take-out. The food is top-notch, the service is fine, and the prices are reasonable. What more could you want!?!? [06 Sep 2003 18:13:56]

Good Food! I have been going to this restaurant for many years even when it was a much smaller place. At one time it was one of only a few places in Arlington that had a bar. The lunch specials are a great deal (dine-in is best for lunch) and are available 7 days a week. It is fast and good food. There is no buffet, but portion size is good and prices are very reasonable. Two Thumbs Up I've only gotten take out, but the restaurant seemed nice enough. The food was great though, much better than most Chinese. [21 Dec 2003 17:42:01]

Great Chinese food I eat Chinese food at least twice a week, and Shanghai Village has some of the best food in all the Chinese restaurants in Greater Boston. I've never had a dish that I didn't like here - very impressive! [08 Apr 2004 17:19:50]

BEST CHINESE FOOD I'VE HAD! I drive from Chelmsford to come to Shanghai Village. I grew up in Arlington and have coming here for most of my life. The food is always consistant. A great time for larger parties. [07 Jul 2004 00:13:36]

Best damn food I ever tasted! This restaurant is very tasteful. The ambiance is very wonderful and they have a good atmosphere. The food is remarkable and leaves a good taste in your mouth. The chinese tea is a must and learning about the Chinese zodiac is also good to know. This was my first initial visit today which is Christmas Day. Shanhai Village is a blessing in disguise, for me it was lke opening up a present. I recommend everybody go to this restaurant, it's the best!!!!! [25 Dec 2005 15:43:20]

Excellent Chinese Food I went to Shanghai Village for lunch with some guys from work because our usual Chinese restaurant was closed (Yellow Sign). The food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. They have great appetizers and the lunch specials were very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to a return visit. [29 Jun 2007 14:00:02]
