Piccadilly Pub Restaurant - Auburn RE: October 15, 2000 I went to Piccadilly Pub in Auburn, MA, on Route 12. I got there about 4:20 PM waited for 20 minutes to be seated. There were three adults and three children. We heard the gentleman who was seating people, say it is on a first come first serve basis. Well he was letting people go ahead of us. People with a party of five adults, and we only needed a table for five with a high chair.
We finally got seated and ordered our drinks. Then we ordered our meals, the waitress came by to tell us that the cook had gotten mad and hit the printer in the kitchen, so our order had printed out last. I watched as people who were seated after us, came in and received their meals as we waited over an hour and then finally received two of our kids meals which was at 6:05 PM. I thought the rest would be coming out right after and we ended up waiting another 30 minutes before the other kids meal came out and our three other meals came out. By now I could not even eat, because I had been sitting with a 1 1/2 year old, a 7 yr old, and an 8 yr old. Let me tell you something they were very impatient. Especially after waiting in a restaurant for 2 1/2 hours to eat.
The waitress came over and said she was very sorry. It was not her fault, and then they took a lousy $2.99 off our bill, oh boy! Our bill came out to $39.12, which makes me think they did not take anything off at all and we did not even get to eat our meals. I was very disappointed, and then when I spoke to the manager who's name was Sean, he said he was very sorry, and if there was anything he could do. Yeah you could have said I am sorry and I will take 1/2 your bill off or better yet, not make us pay for food we never got to eat, because of your mistake.
I just want to say I have a very big family and when I am satisfied with eating in a certain restaurant, I usually keep going there. I go to eat every Friday and Saturday. I will make sure I tell everyone that the Piccadilly Pub is not even worth the drive. If he would of compensated me in some way, but he did not even try. I am sorry but if I wait that long and then I do not even eat the food. I did not really care for his apologies. The customer comes first always, and he did nothing to make me feel that, that statement was true.
I just felt that I should let you know that they really need to look into how to treat a customer, especially when they are the ones at fault. [16 Oct 2000 10:23:41]

Good Food The food here was good, not anything to brag about but overall good. Great fish and chips. Popcorn was all over the place: on the floor, on the table, on the seats. But everything else was rather clean. Not-so-prompt service. Prices are reasonable. [17 Mar 2003 22:16:54]

Regarding Mothers Day I will never step foot in that place again. The service is the worst. We got our main dish with our appetizers. Our rolls came after we finished our food although he gave us just butter and left for 1/2 hr. Coffee came at the end when we asked way before. Never again. [12 May 2003 14:33:36]

I personally have had no bad experiences with the Piccadilly Pub chain. I think their food is great and the service I have received has always been wonderful. They have great deals and you can tell the food is made fresh. [05 Sep 2004 17:06:31]

Excellent Food Despite their popularity, which provides a constant crowd, the food is fantastic. My husband and I travel all over all the time and have a very unique opportunity to try food from all over the U.S., from small diners in New England to authentic Mexican fajitas in El Paso, TX. We thought the food was worthy of the Food Network review. [03 Jan 2007 21:58:07]

I have always enjoyed the Picadilly Pub when we travel back to Worcester from Ohio. On two occasions recently, the fish and chips were dry and the clams were dry and looked like they were frozen. Otherwise the other meals I have had were excellent. Service is always good. We never have to wait long. [18 Apr 2007 16:44:40]
