Great Place for a Martini and Cigar Only had a couple of drinks. Will go back soon to try the food. We had two martinis, neither was shabby. Huge drink list and specialty martini list. Ambiance was nice and friendly and sort of Italian-posh/American Oak trendy. You can buy cigars at the bar, and actually smoke them there. (unlike neighboring Salem, which is smoke free.) I'd recommend it for a night out with friends or a special occassion meal. Two seating areas: The more casual bar side and the more formal dining room. It made me feel at home. [27 Feb 2002 07:20:37]

Baracelli Passes CFA Exam - Goes to Wild Horse to Celebrate! My first trip to Wild Horse was to celebrate passing the CFA. Everything was great, especially dessert. [15 Aug 2002 12:30:41]

It's All Good Most times I've gone it's standing room only at the bar. Yummy martinis. Drinks aren't small. Even though smoking is allowed in the bar, the super-vents keep the air surprisingly not-so-smoky. On the dining room side, the non-standard cushy pillow chairs and couches are awesome. Meals have been great. The grilled banana desert is the bomb. [27 Feb 2003 14:57:27]

Good, but Expensive The restaurant is very good, but also very expensive (roughly $20-$30/person without alcohol or desserts). I do like the restaurant, but I am not sure it is quite good enough to justify that price. [17 Jun 2003 12:25:22]

Never Gets Old I am a tried and true fan of the "Horse" - constantly returning when I get an opportunity. Whether having an incredible martini or a Pabst, for that matter, in the bar, or treating myself to a 4-course meal in the dining area, I always know what to expect: excellence. I Wish I Lived Closer My husband and I were in the area for a funeral; we are from Maine. I have raved about this place to everyone. Every part of this dining experience was to die for. I do not eat veggies and devoured them that night, I so wish I knew how they were cooked. We were a little put off about the price when we arrived and it came to $90 with tip, including drinks but no dessert. But it was so incredibly amazing we didn't mind. [13 Apr 2005 11:22:25]
