An Average Deli In every way, this is an average deli, from the spotty service to the hit-and-miss menu. Sandwiches can be very good, and the brunch is very popular. However, other items can be pretty bad (ice-cold "chicken pot pie" that isn't really even a chicken pot pie, but rather a chicken stew with a piece of puff pastry on top). Desserts are very much in the deli mode (think cheesecake), but aren't more than so-so.
The atmosphere was decent enough a few years ago, but it's starting to look worn. It's not bad, but there are better delis in the Boston area. In fact, there are at least two better delis in Brookline. [29 Mar 2003 15:57:49]

Good Food This place isn't fancy, but for the most part the food is really good. I have never had a bad meal there. The sandwiches are great and salads are good, too. Breakfast is served all day, which is a plus. I have been to other delis in the area, and they are not as good and more expensive.
The place needs a facelift, but for a good meal and casual atmosphere, it's alright. [28 Sep 2004 17:55:27]
