Best Dining on Cape Cod
This restaurant has been on the top for the last 20 years or more. While other places in the general area have changed hands (Christian's, no longer owned by Christian, the Wayside, Samuels, Campari's) and suffered in their menus, the Oyster has maintained extremely high standards in it's service and presentation. A must visit when venturing to Cape Cod. Reservations are probably the way to go most nights, especially during the typical dining hours, but the bar offers the same menu and slightly quicker service, on top of the entertainment value of watching the bartenders keep everything under control amidst a very busy restaurant.    [17 Jan 2001 11:06:30]

Unbelievable oyster. Freshest I have ever had. Fresh off the boat and just shucked. Only minutes old. Words alone cannot tell you how good they were.    [02 Apr 2003 22:46:23]

The Impudent Oyster has success because it is focused on what it does best. The kitchen is not strained, and the service is well-timed and informative. Consistency is the necessary ingredient with every good restaurant and they do not disappoint. I come here only once each year, but each time is as enjoyable as the last.    [04 Oct 2003 16:08:40]

Seafood at the Bar
We arrived after three hours' drive through Boston, and dropped in, to find out that on Friday night you definitely need a reservation at the Impudent Oyster. No problem - we sat at the bar, where bartenders set us up with the same elegant service you'd get at a table.

The service was excellent and the food - Seafood Addeo - was delicious!    [10 Sep 2004 17:07:24]
