Food and Service The food was absolutely spectacular. All meals are very reasonably priced and the service is excellent. My comments are based on three visits to this establishment. I might also add that the entryway is readily navigable for handicapped people or people in wheelchairs. [27 Apr 2005 17:13:25]

Best Restaurant on the South Shore I have eaten at this establishment on several occasions. My sister and her family go there often.
The service as well as the food is superb. [25 Sep 2005 14:34:19]

Sunday 11/20/2005: soup served cold, had to ask busboy to heat soup up as couldn't get the waitresses' attention. It came back warm but not hot. Gave up on that. Asked busboy for some rolls, since he was the only one we whose attention we could get. Rolls were promptly delivered.
Main courses: Baked stuffed scallops and chicken parmesan were served by owner or someone else. I suspect it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while as it was all cold. Ate the stuff anyway as we were hungry and didn't know when we would see waitress again.
Dessert was grapenut pudding that tasted like it came out of a can. Asked for it to be heated, but alas it came only slightly warm. [20 Nov 2005 18:34:09]

Service? We went to the restaurant and were unimpressed with the attitude. It was not crowded when we arrived, but it took several minutes before we were even acknowledged. We were greeted with a curt, "Follow me." No smile, no greeting, no friendly atmosphere. Food was good, but overpriced.
This is a restaurant trying to be better than it is, and not making the grade. [11 Jan 2006 07:26:58]

Straight out of Hollywood The Mockingbird is by far one of the best restaurants on the South Shore! If you are looking for a great dinner, romantic atmosphere and wide variety of delicious martinis...you've come to the right place! [19 Jan 2006 14:54:38]

We had dinner on Thursday, 1/19/06 - Food was delicious as well as the Martini selection...server was prompt, courteous and friendly, never missed a beat. Looking forward to going back with friends in the future. Chocolate torte dessert was out of this world. [23 Jan 2006 22:36:59]

Newly Renovated Pleasant surprise in the area. Recently renovated to add seating and a larger bar, Mockingbird's has a varied menu with nightly specials.
Steaks and seafood are prepared well, with a pork dish that is outstanding. Good selection of desserts, but usually the portions are too large to consider dessert. [01 Feb 2006 15:32:35]

Romantic and Classy I have been to this restaurant at least four or five times in the past year. My fiance even held my "surprise" birthday here even though renovations were midstream. The service has always been prompt, friendly and professional. The wait staff knows the menu intimately and I have never been disappointed with their recommendations from the type of martini to the main meal. With the renovations it is like having two restaurants in one. There is the traditional, old-fashioned Italian decor side and the new side is very contemporary and upscale. I have highly recommended this restaurant to many of my friends. [13 Mar 2006 21:50:45]

A Southeastern Massachusetts Restaurant that Is Not for the Birds The Mockingbird, in East Bridgewater, Mass., is a very underrated dining establishment. Destined several years ago to be a mecca for Chinese restaurants eventually going out of business, the Mockingbird flew in and saved the day by turning this building into a fine dining place, specializing in extremely well done chicken, steak and seafood dishes. A crackerjack staff only helps the cause at this standout southeastern Massachusetts restaurant that has recently been renovated, resulting in an attractive, contemporary setting. Hours My only complaint about this restaurant is their hours of operation. I wish they stayed open past 10pm, and were open on Tuesdays, like they used to be! [17 Aug 2007 16:38:27]
