Best Food Ever The food was great and reasonably priced. The owners work there and are very friendly. It was very clean. Very casual. And even a game room to keep the kids busy while you wait. [31 May 2006 19:12:27]

Sea Scallops Were Excellent Fresh sea scallops, right from New Bedford fishermen. Out of this world! Fried with a light tasty batter to perfection. Comes with fries and coleslaw a t a good price. Highly recommended. [14 Aug 2006 15:37:47]

Small town, family fare, easy on wallets I grew up down the street from Assonet Village Pizza, and still go there whenever I get a hankering for pizza, kale soup, fish n' chips, or clam cakes. (Kale soup is a local Portuguese dish containing chourico (spelled chorizo, if you're not from this area), kidney beans, kale, onions, etc. in a savory broth). If you like a small, no frills place to eat (order at the counter, they bring you the food, but you clear your own table) with super friendly staff and food that does more for your taste buds than your waistline, you'll love this place. The only three things I really don't care for are 1) they also have keno and lottery machines, 2)They serve alcohol (I and my husband do not drink) and 3) While the pizza tastes fantastic, it is very greasy from the sheer amount of cheese, and needs to be "mopped" with a few napkins before eating a slice (though that never stops me). :) [30 Oct 2007 15:39:00]
