Disappointing I had looked forward to the opening of this restaurant for months. When it finally opened we arrived with great anticipation, but were sadly disappointed.
The food is expensive and the flavor only fair. We were not impressed with the atmosphere, service, prices or food. Very disappointing. [19 Dec 2006 12:56:38]

The Best I love Route 7 Grill, and go all the time. The food is fantastic; we truly appreciate Lester's and the staff's dedication to using locally produced and grown food, even meats. They support the community immensely by accepting BerkShares, our local currency. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an unbelievable crafted stone fireplace (made by the local masonry). The food is always of the highest quality and they serve plenty of it in a dish. Hands down, the place to dine in the Berkshires. [15 Mar 2007 12:38:18]

Overrated Was terribly disappointed in the quality of the Route 7 Grill. The previous restaurant, while not the fanciest, was certainly a place where you felt welcome; friendly faces could always be found. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the grill. We found the food (with a few exceptions) to be below average. This was most likely due to being put out on the line, as most dishes were dry under the bbq sauce. Many of the staff who were friendly and helpful seem to have disappeared soon after opening, leaving a cold atmosphere.
That being said, we have not visited the grill in quite some time, so many of these problems may have been rectified. Its worth at least trying to make your own decision, but don't be expecting BBQ to rival that of Texas. [25 Mar 2007 00:02:57]

Overrated? I Think Not. My husband and I dine here weekly and we love it! The food is fantastic and the service is great. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. Our favorites are the beef ribs and the ribeye steak always grilled to perfection. [03 Apr 2007 20:08:45]

Much Improved When this restaurant first opened we thought the portions were too small, the prices too high, the food just fair and the service, poor. We visited again a week ago and found that the portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, the food was delicious and the service was good! If you were disappointed at first, I recommend another visit. [07 Jul 2007 13:23:36]
