Barbers Crossing I had been to Barbers Crossing in Worcester many times. In fact my brother-in-law worked there for many years. I have known John Wallace for probably 25 years.
So here's what happened. I went to the restaurant in Leicester there with my husband on 11/3/06. While waiting to order dinner, we ordered drinks. When my husband got up to see what the specials were (yes, we were never told there were specials - we had to go get them ourselves), I was told she couldn't serve him any drinks because he couldn't walk. I informed her he has had 3 strokes in the last year. She did not apologize for assuming he was drunk; she took our order.
My dinner was fine; my husband's was a filet that was very chewy. After dinner, she asked if we wanted anything else. My husband said he would like another drink. She came back and gave me the check. I said he had ordered a drink and she said she thought the medication he was taking might effect the alcohol. We were very embarrassed.
As I was leaving I spoke with the manager who listened but never said a word. My recommendation is that you don't go here if you are disabled. They only want to have people there who are not disabled. [Submitted 04 Nov 2006] [28 Nov 2006 16:52:05]

Slow Service I was very disappointed in my visit to Barber's Crossing. I have been to the location in Sterling and to the old Worcester location many times. Never a problem. The service was extremely slow today. We waited almost 40 minutes for our meal. It was lunch time on a Wednesday so the place was pretty dead. Don't understand why it took so long. And when we first got there the hostess asked if we would like a bowl of popcorn - we never received it. I have been hearing a lot of negative stuff about them lately - I don't think I will be going back. [15 Mar 2007 09:30:41]
