It's Great No pizza place I've been to is better than this. It doesn't have waiters, obviously, since it is a pizza place. The subs are great, especially the turkey and Italian. Another thing that is very good is the ziti with meatballs and garlic bread. Good drinks too. I recommend it greatly. Definitely go there if you have a chance. [22 Nov 2006 16:15:57]

Good Calzones, Greasy Pizza, Bad Attitude. The calzones are great! Especially when you customize them. Huge and wonderful. The pizza however is really, really greasy and has wayyyyy too much cheese and hardly any sauce. It's like a cheese pie.
Their phone etiquette is poor - especially the older guy that answers. He clearly doesn't like it if you ask for something special. We had an argument over how much cheese to put on my pizza.
But. the prices and fast service can't be beat. The best part is...everything's done and ready for you in "ten minutes" (which is how they end the phone call). They don't even ask your name or anything.
"I've got a takeout order, please. I'd like a large pepperoni pizza, a salad and two canned Pepsi's please."
"10 minutes" Click.
"I'd like to pick up my order please. A large chicken/broccoli calzone, a small cheese pizza and a large salad please".
"OK. 10 minutes" Click.
Weird. [18 Feb 2007 15:06:59]

Terrible Service Really, really rude staff. Good food.
Delivery guy (including when owner delivers) won't have change and will expect you to let them keep the full amount you gave (especially if it creates a huge tip for them). This has happened a minimum of 5 times.
Delivery guy forgets things, you pay for them...then 3-4 hours later delivery guy shows up to drop off what was forgotten (after you've called 3 times) and it's the wrong thing (happened 3 times).
Rude staff. Horrible service. Take out, eat in and delivery. (constant)
But great food.
They know they're one of the few in Lexington that deliver and treat customers terribly because they think they can. [11 Jan 2008 01:06:51]

Horrible Service. Rude. Food OK. Convenience Plus. You know, the only reason why we continue to order food from these folks is convenience. When we are in a pinch, this is where we order.
The food is mediocre. Too much cheese. Not enough sauce on the pizza. Subs are pretty good.
The service is horrible. Rude on the phone. Rude in person when you pick up your food. Rude when they deliver and forget your drinks or your salad, like it's your fault.
They don't take your name or number...and when you get there and you ordered two large pizzas, the person who ordered it 10 minutes after you did walks out the door with your pizzas while you stand there and wait for theirs to come out of the oven so you can take them home.
I hate this place, but as a working family, we sometimes need food in a pinch, and the only alternatives in the area are Chinese takeout or Alexandria's corner market. [02 Mar 2008 19:19:48]

Neighborhood Favorite. Great Subs. Lex House of Pizza is a neighborhood institution. Ok, so the service can be reminiscent of the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi", but hey--they're popular and they're moving fast to keep up with orders. So don't expect chitchat during the lunch rush :) Subs are great, especially the meatball sub and the steak bomb. Hubbie loves the pizza but I think it's only so-so since I'm a deep-dish kind of girl. The grilled chicken salad is three meals in one, and delicious. [28 Apr 2008 12:41:02]
