Went there this past weekend and had the best ice cream I've ever had. The cinnamon-bannana was incredible, as was the strawberry. Joe was great and treated me like a king. Thanks.    [25 Jan 2006 17:16:06]

Fantastic Ice Cream
I have been a fan of Rancatore's since I lived in Belmont in 1988-89. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Lexington store when I returned to the Boston area last year.

I consider ice cream to be one of the basic food groups; that is how seriously I take it and how much I enjoy it. I have tried ice cream in small dairies, chain stores (Baskin-Robbins, Wil Wrights, etc.), drug stores, and on travel in other countries. After all that I believe that Rancatore's is the best. It is creamy and flavorful, without being too high in butterfat. The variety of flavors is reason enough to stop in regularly.    [10 Apr 2007 00:55:54]
