Ce Bon La Boniche just keeps getting better and better. I keep telling all my friends about this great restaurant in Lowell, but they don't believe me. I love the food, service, and atmosphere. [02 Sep 2002 17:31:47]

Outstanding Service, food and atmosphere all sing at this hidden gem in downtown Lowell. I felt immediately welcomed by the warm smiles of a lovely hostess and quickly settled into the restaurant with the immediate but not pushy service. La Boniche has all the points a fine restaurant ought to. [25 Dec 2002 16:33:51]

Our Favorite Place And I mean in all North America, or at least the continental U.S. (over which my fiance and I have travelled quite a bit for work reasons during the past year). Excellent food, attentive service, in amiable surroundings. But - it fills up, so reserve early. [04 Mar 2004 10:01:39]

What a Letdown After reading so much about La Boniche we arived on a Tuesday evening, where they have a prix fixe menu. A surly host guided us to a table where a waitress seemed to forget about us. Another waitress came at some point to help which only led to being abandoned later on in the meal. They were out of the prix fixe pork, no substitutions, thank you. Bad acoustics, bad service. Food was so so. I am not going back. [25 Jul 2005 08:11:42]

Stay Away The only thing worse than the food was the service (and that was a low bar to get under). The food combined elements that simply did not go (veal chop with scallop) and was completely void of texture. The pizza aspired to be a crisp as raw liver.
From a service perspective, the cocktails arrived 1 minute prior to the apps, the bottle of wine was cancelled when the apps were gone (and no wine), and the glasses of wine were cancelled 1/2 way through the meal. [16 Dec 2005 22:03:45]

Lowell's Best This is far and away the best restaurant in Lowell. I have gone there many times and everything has been great. The food is always perfect. I have brought many friends and they have all loved it. [05 Jan 2006 09:33:14]

Go elsewhere Three of five appetizers were either fishy or at the most so-so. Had the escargot, the salmon and the eggplant. Spicy corn soup was ok, and the ravioli with shrimp was pretty good.
All entrees were sub-par.
Desserts were pretty good. [24 Aug 2006 13:44:43]
