Charged for Another Customer's Order I ordered from this joint on April 14th from my friend's house a few minutes after they had called to place an order with them, and used my charge. Aside from the food not being that great, my friend's food came 20 minutes later than mine and was cold...go figure.
In addition, when I was looking at my charge statement, the restaurant had charged me for both orders! When I called about it, the owner was incredibly rude and said I must have authorized it. When I told him I had not, he accused my friends of stealing my credit card! He flat out refused to refund the fraudulent charges, even though I explained it is illegal to charge another customer's order to someone without their permission.
There are so many better restaurants in the area that choose to do business the legal way, I have no idea why anyone would want to go with Helen's. [30 Apr 2007 11:46:32]

Stay Away - Terrible It was bad and I am not a picky eater at all.
I live near Helens and decided to try it out on my way home. I walked by a guy who was smoking outside on my way in. Then I saw this same man walk in and prepare my food without washing his hands.
The roast beef was awful...the worst I have ever had. The fries were shoestring and very greasy(almost like the oil was not hot when they were dropped in.)
My order also sat waiting to be bagged while the person behind the counter talked on their cellphone. She hands me the bag a few minutes later still on her cellphone. Don't bother. It will not be there much longer I believe.
Helens and Pranzi's would tie for the worst food in Medford. They are both still in business because of their location near Tufts. [30 Jun 2007 19:24:50]
