Excellent Service, Terrific Food I ate at Wanokura a couple of weeks ago, and found the place to be a little treasure, despite its location in a strip mall. The atmosphere is open, but very Japanese, and our waiter (from Osaka) was knowledgeable, competent, and authentic.
We stuck mostly with sushi, and the offerings were above average. The miso soup was of the white (sui-miso) variety, and excellent. The fish was fresh and the fish/rice ratio was quite generous.
There is a variety of sakes, though you may have to ask for a list. We had ours hot, and it was at just the right temperature.
This is becoming one of my favorite haunts, and I highly recommend it! [07 Mar 2006 16:49:44]

Hidden Jewel in Milford, MA Our family eats at Wanokura at least twice a month because we cannot get enough of the excellent food & friendly staff, starting with the owner, Mr. Ko. It is by far the best Japanese food we have tried, and we've tried a lot. We bring guests there regularly and highly recommend it to everyone we know. Everything's good, from the appetizers to the salad, to the main entree. [23 Mar 2006 20:28:07]

Fantastic Food and Service Wanokura has excellent food and extremely wonderful staff. I have been there for lunch many times but find that the service from the kitchen is extremely slow. I waited with my party of two for over 45 minutes for my lunch. [16 Dec 2006 16:27:07]

Top Notch Sushi Wanokura has incredibly fresh fish and offers generous portions. Their sushi rolls are among the best I've had! My only complaint is that the kitchen is rather slow every time I eat in or out. Maybe they need more help? The table service, however, is wonderful - always a pleasurable experience at Wanokura. Great Little Japanese Restaurant This little restaurant has the best tempura we've ever found, including in Boston...and some of the best sushi, sashimi, and maki rolls anywhere. A pearl of a restaurant in a totally unexpected mini mall in Milford. We go there as often as our finances allow! [07 Apr 2007 16:13:58]

We Love this Place (and the People Who Bork There too) We have been dining at Wanokura since it first opened and usually go at least once a week (in addition to the occasional take out). The food is outstanding, the waitstaff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. If you're prone to addiction, be wary as you may find yourself addicted to this place (as are we). [31 Aug 2007 18:09:54]
