Great New Restaurant in Metro West
Food was outstanding, service and ambiance excellent. They really have their act together. Very surprising in such a new restaurant. Quite expensive, but well worth the price.    [28 Feb 2004 15:48:29]

Horrible Service
A recent dining experience at Maxwell’s 148 in Natick, MA, turned out to be a truly memorable one, but for the wrong reasons. It was bad enough that our waiter seemed more intent on turning our table for the next group of customers than on making us feel relaxed and satisfied. But when my wife told the waiter that she didn’t care for her entrée, the establishment’s owner proceeded to take her to task for her assessment along with berating her for not having said something sooner. One has the right to expect a whole lot more from a very pricey, upscale restaurant than we got in return for our patronage. Which is to say that it takes more than good food and ambience to attract and sustain a loyal following. Good manners and treating one’s customers with respect are essential as well.    [15 May 2004 19:26:11]

Excellent Service
After reading the most recent Maxwell's 148 review I was hesitant to dine there. I figured I'd give it a try since I am always in the area, and I am so glad I did. The service was fantastic. The owner greeted us at the door and checked back with us several times throughout our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. The waiter was knowledgable, personable and attentive. The food was wonderful, especially the short ribs and the filet. We enjoyed the apple egg rolls which were crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful on the inside. We had a wonderful dining experience at Maxwell's and would highly recommend it.    [24 Nov 2004 12:57:54]
