Average Greek food; prices are good and good value. The service, however, is very poor. On our last visit we were there over an hour for lunch. I met the owner and he seemed disinterested in our conversation. Overall, it is worth trying to get acquainted with Greek cuisine. [14 Nov 2006 16:31:35]

Appalling Do not go to this restaurant.
I second that the owner is a completely arrogant [expletive deleted]. He is very rude and disinterested. He does not adhere to the "customer is always right" attitude at all. The food is mediocre, and it was much better when it was Nick's Restaurant. The "Nicholas" is pretentious and attempts to be upscale. You are better off making your own Greek food or going anywhere else. It is appalling that this place is allowed to be in business anymore. [02 Apr 2007 14:29:41]

Nick's Was Better When this place was Nick's Drive-in, you could get pretty good clams, burgers and ice cream and see the cool cars that the motorheads brought around on Saturdays in the summer.
Now it is a bland restaurant with no windows, sterile decor and average food. As for the waiter - I distinctly got the impression he was the owner's son and this was his summer job. [11 May 2007 22:37:49]

Greek Food? If you are part of the Pat Whitley radio culture in Boston, then you will like Nicholas. Pat Whitley fans think chicken fingers are gourmet Chinese food. This restaurant caters to those people. Better to spend your money elsewhere. [06 Aug 2007 14:58:57]

Where Did You Dine? The above reviews do not reflect the same Nicholas Restaurant I dined at. The lamb was out of this world and the cost was very reasonable. The atmosphere definitely involved windows; in fact I sat by one and was hoping for no draft. The appetizer was cheese saganaki that was flamed and cost about 4.95. Where do you get that service nowadays? Service was not Capital Grille, but I did not expect that for the price. [22 Oct 2007 18:47:11]

We stopped in to try it because we had a "1/2 off" coupon and we were curious. We loved it! The food was awesome. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer and without question, it was the most tender calamari I've ever had, and I order it a lot! The lamb souvlaki was perfectly cooked to my specification, and was extremely tender. Everything on the House Platter was great; the portions were so big that I'll have a hearty lunch today, as well. The only thing I'd recommend to the restaurant is to maybe add some pizazz to the salad - it was just average - but not a biggie, considering the outstanding quality, quantity and prices!
