Will Never Go Back Again When I went to the restaurant the first time, it was enjoyable. They sent me a coupon and when I came back to use it they told me it had expired 4 days earlier and would not honor it. Talked with the manager who basically yelled at me. This is an out-of-the-way place so I drove there and was treated terribly. [11 Apr 2005 17:41:38]

Great Neighborhood Dining After looking at the previous review from the guy with the expired coupon, I had to comment. Appetito has been consistently excellent for the last year or so. My wife and I dine there every few weeks and we have had great food and service. My favorite dishes are the scallops appetizers and the braised lamb. They have an excellent Gorgonzola fondue salad as well. The wine list is strong and dessert and coffee is always excellent.
Sometimes you have to wait for a table. They dont take reservations I don't think. It can be a little noisy at times but not overwhelming. Entrees are priced between $15 and $22 as I recall. [09 Jan 2006 15:25:04]

Very Pleasant Dinner I would like to recommend Appetito's portabella lasagna and braised scallop appetizer. We had a late Sunday dinner and while we were still dining after the 10 PM closing hours, we were not rushed or pressured in any manner. A very agreeable evening meal. [20 Feb 2006 00:27:11]

Great Escape Whether it's meeting a friend for a quick bite after work, or celebrating an important milestone, I can always count on Appetito's for a quality meal and great service. A little bit of Italy in Newton Centre! [13 May 2006 15:04:12]

Great Find A friend of mine recommended Appetito, about six months ago, and I have been going there approximately every ten days. They can get pretty busy, but the food is always consistent, with a nice flair. I recently had a Hawaiian walu, which was excellent! Service was attentive. [28 Jun 2006 21:24:47]

Nice Local Spot Appetito is a nice local Italian restaurant. Not high-end snooty-gourmet and not a spaghetti and red-sauce stereotype, but something in the middle. It can get crowded because it is popular.
Lunch was surprisingly affordable. [01 Mar 2007 11:29:10]
