Good, but Overpriced
Enjoyable bistro-type entrees are overshadowed by poor service and scant portions. Also, prices are far from keeping with the bistro atmosphere. For the steep check, customers deserve more than a bread basket composed of a single slice of stale baguette (per person), and birdlike portions wading in a plateful of sauce.    [02 Feb 2005 13:01:17]

Overpriced, Cramped, So-so Food
why do people frequent this place? The unpublished wine list features overpriced and underportioned servings, the food is cafeteria quality, the bread is Clear Flour French, the tables are cramped, and the tablecloths are paper. Expect to pay $150 for pedestrian fare and wine.    [04 Mar 2007 23:47:06]

Aquitaine Bistro Chestnut Hill
Certainly cannot agree with previous reviews. Perhaps improvements have been recently undertaken. Found my appetizer (a cheese tart) and main course (lemon sole meunier) very well prepared and nicely portioned. Service was excellent and non-intrusive. Overall, quite a good dining experience. Would agree that their margin on wines could come down a bit.    [15 Feb 2008 09:27:16]
