Standard Greasy Pub Fare
We really, really, really want to like this place - it's conveniently down the street; it always looks pleasantly crowded; there's a comfortable-old-shoe feeling to the place with the popcorn on the table and the plaid carpet in the dining room. But we've been three times, and every menu item has felt very heavy and greasy, nothing to recommend, plenty to stay away from, especially if you don't like heavily fried food. The burgers were particularly awful. That said, it's very popular with many locals, so who am I to tell you to stay away?    [01 May 2005 10:12:27]
